“A DAY IN SOUTHTOWN” is a FREE annual celebration of creativity and community. It’s an open house for you – the public!

WHO PARTICIPATES?
5 Neighborhoods | Each of Southtown’s exceptional neighborhoods hosts a FREE community celebration in their public spaces complimenting and celebrating who they are!

Artists and Local Nonprofits | Host FREE art educational workshops and open studio opportunities! A great chance for you to meet and create with local artists and organizations!

Public Schools | Our public schools will be active with fundraisers! Come out and support our hardworking students and teachers!

Local businesses | Visit local galleries, shop among artisans, savor culinary eats, sample distillery drinks, enjoy mindful fitness, and have fun while supporting the local arts scene!

Art Walk | Wrap up the day by heading to the Second Saturday Artwalk in the Lone Star neighborhood. Experience live music and over 20 studio spaces / galleries.

Who are the neighborhoods?
Collins Garden, King William, Lavaca, Lonestar and Roosevelt neighborhoods – all seeding our creative culture! They all have their own event listings which you can find on our FB page under events.
