Carina Hiscock lives and works in San Antonio, Texas. She works with natural and handmade materials, everyday objects that are generally overlooked as an artistic medium.
She is interested in how the controversial aspects of the natural world are perceived by society and how that perception affects the individual.
“My art is as much about the approach as it is about the final product. I am interested in alternative processes and breaking boundaries. I use natural materials in order to blur the line between art and life. I also work with a variety of media to confuse the artistic limits separating drawing, painting, and sculpture.”
