Sol LeWitt: Wall Drawing 353
January 30 – March 28, 2020
Sol LeWitt (1928-2007) was a leading figure of Minimalism and a pioneer of Conceptual Art. He helped redefine art in the 1960’s with his belief that “the idea becomes a machine that makes the art.” His ephemeral wall drawings exist as a list of clearly defined instructions to be executed by others. Over 1,000 of his wall drawings have been installed in galleries and museums throughout the world.
