Her paintings have traveled to Colombia, Amsterdam, Japan, and Italy, where she was part of a public space project through OffSite/ArtBridge. She is a recipient of the Nathalie Angles Award and the Sommerville Arts Prize. Mack-Valencia’s paintings are in private, public, and corporate collections, including the Hotel Monaco, Dunn Development Corporation, the Renaissance Hotel, The Kimpton Hotel in Amsterdam, and many others. Sandra received her BFA from Universidad de Antioquia in Medellín, and her MFA from Hunter College in New York.
Sandra states, “New paintings are a Dazzling Bestiary inspired by animal figurines, gemstones, and gold. They are an invitation to new narratives and contemporary fables.”
