I Didn’t Want to be Right

Join us for the On and Off Fred Rd. Tour – Mantle is pleased to present new work from artist Tilley Stone.

In this exhibition, Stone explores personal objects and the historical context around heroin addiction — a growing epidemic currently affecting millions of Americans. Parallels are drawn between the violation of a domestic space and the pervasive elements of colonialism by which heroin addiction spread. Domestic items transform into paraphernalia, strategically concealing a dual purpose. They become the forefront of the exhibition as Stone reflects on her experiences and evaluates the overarching effects.

Viewing available during On and Off Fred Rd. Tour.
