About the exhibit
Planned Parenthood South Texas, in partnership with renowned curator Ethel Shipton, is proud to present a new exhibition, Forward! Marches that Move Us. The exhibit focuses on the role of activism in shaping how our nation views on women’s rights, racial equality, LGBTQ+ rights, immigration, the environment, and more. This timely exhibition features provocative original art by: Nadia Botello, Jenelle Esparza, Anel Flores, Suzy González,, Jennifer Khoshbin, Michael Martínez, Katie Pell, Jonathan Treviño, Jose Villalobos and Anne Wallace . The exhibit, curated by Ms. Shipton with assistance from Casie Lomeli, also includes personal photos and commentary from rallies and marches where members of our community have participated. With another presidential election looming and the fight for basic human rights still at the forefront of our society, Planned Parenthood South Texas is more determined than ever to remind our community of the importance of activism and what it can accomplish.
