Frida Fest 2020 San Antonio
Frida Kahlo, a Mexican painter, continues to be admired around the world. Born on July 6, 1907 in Coyoacán, Mexico her life was a unique self-creation. To this day, many of us continue to be mesmerized and inspired by her paintings, her poetry, and her fashion.To honor her spirit Que Retro Arts and Curious Twins will host Frida Festival 2020. A two day celebration.

December 12th & 13th, 2020 from 12pm to 6pm.
This is the fifth annual Frida Festival. We plan to make this the biggest Frida Fest San Antonio has ever seen. It’s a free- family-friendly, indoor event that will take place at Wonderland Mall of the Americas, 4522 Fredericksburg Rd in San Antonio, Texas. This is the first official Frida Fest under the Frida Kahlo brand in world.

Attendees can expect to experience a one of a kind community gathering, handmade artisan mercado, fashion, music, performances, & culinary traditions, with talent from all around San Antonio and Texas. Over 90 artisan vendors offering one-of-kind art, and handmade goods.
*Enjoy a Pop-up Store by the Frida Kahlo Corporation.
*Join in our community alter were the community can recognize the legacy of strong women in our lives. Please bring photos of the departed to recognize on our alter. Feel free to bring flowers, and offerings. The community altar will be up for both days of the festival.
*Learn about the life of Frida with facts throughout the building.
*Also enjoy a culinary lecture each day. Your child can enter into our children’s art contest (more details to come)
*Frida and Diego look alike contest for adults and children. (Gender non conforming, open to all genders)
*Traditional Mexican artisan lecture each day.
*Mexican herbal traditions workshop on Sunday December 13. (More deatils to come)
