FREE: Evening for Educators: The Science of Color!

Found and lost and then found again, discovered, created, and traded, one of the essential elements of art, color, gets its due in the San Antonio Museum of Art permanent collection. From natural to synthetic origins, the ancient history and theory of color has informed the artist’s craft into modern times and continues to evolve. Experiment with natural dyes and pigments and explore their origins and uses in different mediums with hands on activities, demonstrations, and in-gallery tours.
