Bite Your Tong

BYT is a collection of 12 short movies created by 12 womxn from around the world who deal with politics, satire, and absurdism. The work ranges in tone from political surrealism to poetical satire. Each work was curated by artist and Vox Populi member Loraine Wible.

In the not-at-all-sexist world of cinema, womxn are rarely expected in the spheres of political satire. This program presents 12 filmmakers/artists who excel at expressing layered, clever, and emotionally charged political stances. What makes this program unique is that it confronts contrasting narrative and visual strategies. Each piece was curated because it brings a unique approach to storytelling and motion visuals.
